Our founder and CEO, Allie, started a marketing agency in 2009, regularly using interns as a way to acquire new talent.
Constantly frustrated by the skills gap from recent grads, Allie, Kathrin, and Scott joined forces in September 2020 to teach 10 young professionals the skills they needed to succeed in the workplace and connect them to internship opportunities.
To no surprise, 7 out of the 10 grads in that first pilot landed a paying job gaining the skills and support they were lacking.
The team quickly learned two things: Other business owners were frustrated with under-prepared interns and entry-level employees. The overwhelming need from both businesses and early career professionals became clear: shorten the learning curve of starting one's career and giving them the skills to hit the ground running on their first day on the job.
In 2021 we built an asynchronous e-learning platform, raised a pre-seed fundraising round, and started working with university partners. Since then, we've built a network of 7,000 young professionals from over 750 U.S. universities, trained over 3,000, and placed over 450 internships with businesses from across the country.
And we're just getting started.
